Blown Film Extrusion Plant
Overview
Blown film extrusion plants are industrial systems used to produce plastic films by extruding molten polymer through a circular die and inflating it to form a thin film bubble. These films are widely used in packaging, agriculture, and industrial applications.
Working Principle
Polymer granules (LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE) are melted in an extruder.
Molten material is extruded through an annular (circular) die.
Air is blown into the tube to form a bubble and stretch the film.
Cooling air stabilizes the bubble and solidifies the film.
The film is collapsed, rolled, and cut into required sizes.
