Geocell Plant
Overview
Geocell plants are industrial systems used to manufacture geocells—three-dimensional honeycomb-like structures made from polymer sheets such as HDPE. These structures are widely used in civil engineering for soil stabilization, erosion control, slope protection, and load distribution.
Working Principle
Polymer sheets (HDPE/PP) are produced through extrusion.
Sheets are cut into strips of required dimensions.
Ultrasonic welding or thermal bonding connects strips to form honeycomb cells.
The structure expands on-site into a 3D cellular confinement system.
Finished geocells are folded, packed, and transported for installation.
